In a cold night's sleep, I dreamed of love
Truly, I know so little of love
An infant safe in a parent's arms
For the first time, feels the warmth of love
A bride, clad in a brilliant white
Smiles as she makes a vow of love
A man stands in front of a cold slab
Weeping, knowing the absence of love
A cat curls up in a child's lap
Vibrates to the frequency of love
The life leaks out from the young man's wrist
The water red, the color of love
A crooner sings a sweet melody
Bodies sway to the rhythm of love
Some day, as I tread along this path
I'll find my understanding of love

Those aren't scattered shards of stars on the ground
Ignore the man with clouds sticking out of his head
Ignore seeing that beautiful blue turning red
Just listen to me, the voice on your phone
Don't think about all that, this is The Truth Zone
See this picture? The sky is perfectly clear
And look at these memes, you have nothing to fear
Just sleep and dream of those twinkling stars

Don't get me wrong,
I like MY dentist.
He's very kind and patient
While explaining why I need
Yet another crown
He's very skilled and attentive
While I lie back for
My torture session
He's got a wonderful partner,
A cat he loves,
And enjoys traveling the world
And oh, by the way,
I've got another tooth
In need of a crown
I leave with an empty wallet
And a sore, tingling mouth
I'll happily see him again
Because I really hate the dentist
But at least I like MY dentist

Be an artist to my clay.
Explore my every facet
Like a guide who knows the way.
Help me pierce the silence
Like a shrill and high pitched scream.
