Man Across the Sea (National Poetry Writing Month #19)   1 comment

I often like to ponder, the man across the sea.
I find I often wonder, does he stop to ponder me?
While I wonder of adventures that he’s having on his own,
Is he wondering about peaceful nights here at home?
I picture lands at the world’s end.
He pictures dinners here with friends.
I feel so jealous of the man on the sea.
But I need to realize, he wishes he were me.
