The End (National Poetry Writing Month 2015 #30)   Leave a comment

I am not even going to pretend
That I’m not a relieved to be at the end
Although, for poetry, i have a proclivity
This month has definitely taxed my creativity.
I truly feel like I’ve run out of words to say.
I almost couldn’t write a poem today.
And so with that, I bid you adieu
30 poems done, it feels good to be through.

Unfulfilled Excitement   Leave a comment

Unfulfilled Excitement
Forever the bystander
Experiences had by others
While life passes by,
A blur.

A negative experience
Destroys innocence
Disgustedly I only feel
“Why wasn’t it me?”
“Why wasn’t it me?”
